Jamie Hogan Advocate & Lobbyist

Our Story

The Phoenix Consultancy Group was founded in 2025  as an amalgimation of a number of businesses including Jamie Hogan Advocate and Lobbyist, Blue Wren Art Studios and several others.


 Jamie is the Managing Partner and Government Affairs Director who works for Phoenix on a semi part time basis where he can, after suffering several delapitating injuries and illnesses. 


Cameron “Jamie” Hogan  is a Life Fellow of the Advocacy Institute of Australia Inc, Life Fellow of the Association of Honorary Independent Persons Inc, Fellow of Youth Workers Australia Inc, Fellow of the Institute of Management and Leadership Inc and a full accredited Member of the Association of Investigators and Security Professionals Inc. 


He studied in a joint program sponsored by Education Institutes, Justice Associations and Fundraising Foundations; the Victorian Community Leadership Program qualifying in 2010 as a Fellow of the program.

He originally studied a joint Certificate of Technology in Surveying and Certificate of Technology in Civil Engineering at Moorabbin Institute of Technology (now part of Holmsglen TAFE) whilst working as a Cadet Surveyor at the Melbourne and Metropolitan Board of Works. He subsequently studied youth work at the now closed Phillips Institute of Technology (Now part of RMIT University) graduating in 1985. 


Living in far eastern Rural Victoria for the last fifteen years, he has been on the Board of the Youth Workers Australia (YWA) since 2017 and a longtime member and now Fellow. He has been involved in community services, youth work, advocacy and education industries both as a practitioner and in varies levels of management for over forty-years. 


Although he referrals himself as semi-retired he is the Board Chairperson & Acting CEO of the Advocacy Institute of Australia, Board Secretary of the Derek Amos Institute for Public and Political Affairs and Board Treasurer the YWA. In addition, he serves as the Independent Chair of the YWA Course Accreditation Committee as well as holding the position of Managing Partner of a business owned by his husband.


After leaving the academic world due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and with his already established CF Jamie Hogan Academic Consulting he merged with RTO Consultancy Group to form the Verikios, Casey & Hogan consultancy and Chaired the Board with offices in Gippsland and Melbourne. He registered as a Lobbyist and established the Jamie Hogan Advocacy and Lobbyist business soon after COVID. In 2025 he and his now husband established the Phoenix Consultancy Group. An amalgamation of his and his husband’s businesses 


He now undertakes some consultancy work in research as a Political, Governance and Community specialist, a Lobbyist and Private Detective. 


He  gained a Philosophy Doctorate (PhD) in 2009 and a Laws Doctorate (LLD) in 2022 He has continued as a recognized specialist in Leadership, Governance,  Public Policy, Governance and Compliance,  Politics, Quality Auditing  however his grass roots come from commencing his adult working career as a youth worker. 

Jamie is the author of a number of academic papers including the widely accepted “Hopes Dreams and Aspirations” focusing on the needs and issues relating to international students in 2009 presented by at the joint Australia Association of Social Workers/ Australian Institute of Welfare and Community Workers/ Association of Teachers of Social Work and Welfare Studies joint national conference by David Jefferson MSW. 


In 2004 jointly with Federal Investigator Christopher McCrae from Wonthaggie and Senior Sergent Syd Galligar OIC at Moorabbin Police Station, he wrote the training manual and guidelines for Independent Persons in the Bass Coast LGA, South Gippsland LGA, Kingston LGA, East Gippsland LGA, Bendigo Region, Hume Region and others in Victoria that eventually became the basis of the government funded state wide Independent Persons Program


Todd Price serves on the Board of Phoenix and is a partner in the business. He is a qualified artist studying at both Swinburn and Melbourne Polytechnics. He is also Phoenix's Artistic Director. He is a member of the Advocacy Institute of Australia. He serves on several boards and is currently studying Management and Leadership

 

Since the begining of the advocacy and lobbyimg business we have taken on and founded many ongoing projects and programs hence becoming a boutique advocacy and lobbying agency helping many individuals, major ongoing corporate clients, government entities, politicans and community based clients.


 Our hugely experienced team is significant and the Partners, Staff and Consultants at the Phoenix Consultancy Group are more than capable of undertaking the tasks at  hand. We specialise in  a number of specific areas and assist our clients in their quests to achieve whatever outcomes they are seeking.

 

Todd and Jamie manage the business on a regular part-time basis, however much of Jamie's time is pro-bono Being active in the political world in various roles, for forty plus years Jamie undertakes some political commentating.
