2025 News

2025 and Beyond



Jamie has tried to go into semi-retirement this year however his services and constantly required. He is currently addressing some complex planning matters, in consultation with highly respected Town Planners. These include projects in places such as Ballarat, Latrobe Valley, Casey, Wellington and East Gippsland, In addition he has been working on some involved and sensitive political matters. as well as addressing matters for clients with mental health issues as their legal advocate. Much of the work he does for clients as their legal advocate he now undertakes on a pro-bono basis.



With an intensive business accoutrement, Jamie has undertaken political activism and advocacy, business advising and corporate coaching in addition to governance training, policy and procedure development and advising a number of community organisations.



He is a Board Member and Secretary  of the think tank on government policy and rural affairs, the Derek Amos Institute of Public and Political Affairs which has now transitioned into an independent association in 2025.



In more news Jamie has been elected for another term on the National Board of Youth Workers Australia Inc (YWA) as National Treasurer and has been elected as National Chairperson of the Advocacy Institute of Australia Inc.  He is currently undertaking accreditation auditing for Youth Work degrees across Australia for various universities and Vet providers on behalf of the YWA. In 2025 the Advocacy Institute of Austlia (AIA) using his office as its national headquaters.


In 2025 Jamie changed the corporate name from jamie Hogan Advocate and Lobbyist to the Phoenix Consultancy which incorporates the Jamie Hogan Advocate and Lobbyist business and the the new Gippsland Wellness Centre program including all associated branding to better reflect what he is now doing, in and out of semi-retirement. Included in this The derek Amos Instutute of Public and Political Affairs that he founded as one of the businesses has become independent and seperately Incorporated. The Jamie Hogan Youth Support Team that was a program of the business also became seperately Incorporated and completed its work.


Jamie is still sought after in the political spectrum and to this end is still advising a number of politions in Victoria on policy and on various community based issues. 


Jamie has been doing some pro-bono para-legal work and tribunal representation for people suffering mental  health issues. These include but not limitred to criminal matters, NDIS matters including plan adiustment and plan provision challeges, compulsory treatment proposals and custody matters. He has specilized in helping young people in this area given his 40 + years of youth work experience and commitment to helping young people.

Gippsland Wellness Centre

Given that we have moved away from the NDIS space therefore reduced our staffing and closed our Sale office at the end of 2024 electing to work from home, Jamie and staff have always had a commitment to helping others and recently Todd Price who is our Art theapistand trained artist by Swinburn University and Melbourne Politechnics and Jamie who is a trained counsellor amoungst other disaplines have undertaken Sex Therapy Certifications which they will complete in the next month. 


This leads Jamie and Todd to open the Gippsdland  Wellness Centre as a program of our business. This will focus on group therapies specialize on men and particularly  LGBTQIA+ men with a particular  focus on Mens Sexual Helth, AOD Counselling for Men and Young Men, and Art therapy all through group sessions conducted by them. The Wellness Centre will commence providing services in early 2026
